Virtual Worship April 26th

Virtual Worship

April 26th, 2020

Welcome!

While we can not gather in person we can still worship as a faith community.   Please leave comments and join in the conversation on our Facebook page.

Announcements

  1.  We have gotten some additional guidance from the conference, and we are to continue worshiping in a virtual setting until at least May 17th.
  2.  Yesterday at the free meal 200 meals were served.  Our outreach ministries are continuing to meet the needs of the community.

Greeting and Worship Through Giving

The link Clyde mentioned can be found here.

There is not a plate to pass, but we encourage you to make use of our online giving page or make your tithes and offerings through a different format.

Musical Worship

Lyn Altman, our congregational song leader, has provided a recording of the doxology:

Kay Ridley, Amy Mosher, and Cheryl Allen  recorded hymns for us to include in our virtual worship.  If you would like to sing along at home, the words can be found Here

Prayer

Prepare your heart and mind in an attitude as we approach the throne of God in prayer:

The Lord’s Prayer:  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Children’s Message

We also have activities to share with you that was made available by the people at Illustrated Ministry.  For coloring sheets and more head Here

Scripture Reading

We encourage you to read this morning’s scripture.  If you do not have a bible available, then please consider reading it in one of the following translations you are most comfortable with:

1 Peter 1:17-23 (NIV)

1 Peter 1:17-23 (NRSV)

1 Peter 1:17-23 (KJV)

Benediction

It has become our tradition to hold hands at the end of the service.   Since we can not do that, I encourage you at some point today to reach out and connect with someone.

May you live as part of the family of God the Father

May you live as one found and saved by Jesus the Son

Being filled by the Holy Spirit, may you love one another deeply from the heart and may you build bigger tables.

Live in peace.  Amen.

We had extra leaves/boards for the kitchen table where I grew up in
Virginia. My brother now has that table.

What a great analogy. Thank you Pastor Sean

Great message again Pastor Sean. It is so wonderful to be a part of the Family of God. I cannot wait until we will all be together in worship .
