Virtual Worship

May 31st, 2020

Welcome!

While we can not gather in person we can still worship as a faith community.   Please leave comments and join in the conversation on our Facebook page.

Greeting and Worship Through Giving

There is not a plate to pass, but we encourage you to make use of our online giving page or make your tithes and offerings through a different format.  Since Mr. Chambers is somewhat difficult to comprehend, Clyde has provided the full text here.

Musical Worship

Lyn Altman, our congregational song leader, has provided a recording of the doxology:

Kay Ridley, Amy Mosher, Cheryl Allen, and Clyde Flory  recorded hymns for us to include in our virtual worship.  If you would like to sing along at home, the words can be found Here

Prayer

Prepare your heart and mind in an attitude as we approach the throne of God in prayer:

The Lord’s Prayer:  Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Children’s Message

We also have activities to share with you that was made available by the people at Illustrated Ministry.  For coloring sheets and more head Here

Scripture Reading

We encourage you to read this morning’s scripture.  If you do not have a bible available, then please consider reading it in one of the following translations you are most comfortable with:

John 7:37-39 (NIV)

John 7:37-39 (NRSV)

John 7:37-39 (KJV)

Benediction

It has become our tradition to hold hands at the end of the service.   Since we can not do that, I encourage you at some point today to reach out and connect with someone.

May you join in the mission of God the Father to redeem the world

May you help make disciples of Jesus the Son

May you experience the power of the Holy Spirit that is in you.

Live in peace.  Amen.

For some reason , I have to wait til Abigail posts the Watch to see the sermon . I can’t get Clyde or children’s story time or the sermon to load or play on the church sight. So I only get to hear and see the sermon part.

Great message – We often take the gift and power of the Holy Spirit for granted. We should all remind ourselves and those around us everyday. When we consider all it can do for us, we come quickly to the point that is absolutely a necessity in our daily lives.
